DPSCD Student Spotlight of the Week: Congratulations to the six undefeated Gold Medalists who competed at the 2025 State Chess Championship. Let’s celebrate our DPSCD Gold Medalists, Amara Slater, third grade, and Camden Bourgeois-Martin, eighth grade of Bates Academy, Jordan Robinson, seventh grade of Bunche Academy, Foxx Williams, Sophomore of Cass Technical High School, Armari Howard, Junior of Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School, and Andrew Wahi, Junior of The School at Marygrove. Thank you DPSCD coaches and players for your display of sportsmanship, resilience and exceptional skill, proving that the DPSCD chess program is stronger than ever.
