The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (Federal), State, and City Health Departments have revised previous close contact and quarantining guidelines for K-12 settings, including Detroit Public Schools Community District. COVID-19 Consent Testing Forms Deadline is January 31, 2022! As a reminder, effective January 31^st all students must have a COVID consent form on file. For families that have not yet completed the consent form for their child to participate in COVID testing at school, please click the hyperlink above.  

Get The Vax COVID-19 Testing: In partnership with the Detroit Health Department (DHD) and other providers, take advantage of free access to the COVID-19 vaccine for anyone age 5 and up. Click the hyperlink above to find a clinic near you this week. No appointment is needed. These clinics also provide first dose, second dose and booster vaccines. 

DPSCD School Spotlight: Southeastern High School: As one of the District’s six Examination High Schools, Southeastern’s innovative Advanced Manufacturing program drives your students rise through teamwork, robotics, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as well as internship opportunities with Stellantis (the former Fiat Chrysler). If you missed the fall application window, no need to worry. The Round 2 Examination High School application window opens on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 12 p.m. We hope to see your application!
