Check Out Five Things You Need to Know This Week
DPSCD School Spotlight of the Week: Golightly Education Center provides a well-rounded educational experience, combining academic excellence with physical enrichment to prepare students for success both inside and outside the classroom. Through strong community partnerships with organizations such as Bedrock, Cranbrook, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and Wayne State University, Golightly offers students unique learning experiences and diverse growth opportunities. Serving students from Pre-K through eighth grade, Golightly ensures a solid educational foundation before students transition to high school. The school features innovative programs like the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) initiative, which customizes instruction to keep every child on track academically. After-school programs like Academic Games, Chess, and Robotics challenge students to think critically and put their problem-solving skills to the test. Don't miss the chance to join this thriving school community! Enrollment is now open, and space is limited. Contact the school today for details about upcoming tours or open house events. Please note, Round One admission closes on Friday, April 4, at 11:59 PM—secure your student's spot soon!
