Black History Celebration

Black History program at Thurgood...

On Tuesday, March 3, 2020, the annual Black History program was held in the school auditorium for the Thurgood Marshall Parents.  Ms. Divine McKinney, coordinator of the program had classes from every grade level in the performance. Ms. Jada Duncan, a grade 7 student, was the Mistress of Ceremony and she did a magnificent job.  The program started with prelude to the song, Glory by Common and John Legend. Students from various classes read poems, sung beautiful songs, and they danced to some famous music.

The parents were in awe just watching their child on stage. At the end of the program, Principal Lee gave a big shout out to the students, Ms. McKinney and Ms. Watkins for doing a wonderful job.

Looking forward to the next school year’s performance…
