Online Learning: What to Expect This School Year

If your child is participating in the District’s online learning option this fall, you can expect the District will try to main normalcy as much as possible.

This Fall, students will receive physical materials such as workbooks and textbooks to accompany their online lessons, just as they would receive in the classroom. Students will use some familiar and introduce new online learning platforms to support both instruction and completion of assignments. These online platforms include but are not limited to Microsoft Teams, Schoology, LearnZillion, Zearn, Studies Weekly, i-Ready and more. Online students will be expected to complete daily assignments and will be given grades for their work. Students will still receive support by their school counseling staff and teachers will maintain office hours and provide one-on-one check-ins with families and students. In addition, DPSCD K-12 students will have access to the Homework Hotline to receive personalized support.

Our virtual curriculum is completely aligned to our in-person curriculum and keeps our students’ unique needs in mind.
