DPSCD Dance Day

On October 11, 2025, students from across Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) came together at the Detroit School of Arts for the district’s Annual Dance Day. This exciting event brings together dancers from all DPSCD schools for a full day of training, learning, and creativity with professional dance instructors and choreographers. This year, middle school students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of classes, including African dance, hip hop, and the Horton technique. The day was filled with energy, teamwork, and inspiration as students explored new styles, strengthened their technique, and celebrated the power of dance in education.
