Stay Smart with Summer Learning Experiences: Parents, it's time to enroll your students, experiences begin July 11 to August 4, 2022, help your child stay smart this summer by registering them for DPSCD’s Summer Learning Experiences 2022! Programming includes credit recovery, academic acceleration, and a bevy of enrichment activities from sports camps, to performing arts to Girl Scouts. A reminder, registration for Summer Learning Experiences 2022 is now open; seats are limited. Save the Dates for Summer on Block 2022: Get ready for Summer on the Block starting on Thursday, July 7, 2022. They will be held at various school locations on consecutive Thursdays through August 4. Summer on the Block is a family-friendly event that includes food, games, school supplies, as well as enrollment information on DPSCD schools. Click the link for more information. 14th Annual Girls’ Engineering Exploration (GEE) Day, Saturday, June 4, 2022: The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will host its annual free event to educate girls on the endless career opportunities that the engineering field has to offer. The event will be held in-person at Keast Commons on Wayne State’s University campus from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Registration closes on June 2, 2022. Reminder for our ESE Families: ESE Transition and Career Planning Expo Saturday, June 4, 2022, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at King High School: This event will provide information to parents and transition age students on community opportunities, programs, postsecondary education, and available services that will be beneficial to their life goals. The ESE Transition and Career Planning Expo is open to all DPSCD students 14+ with an active IEP. Click the hyperlink for more information.
