Healthy Habits
PENuT
Fifth grade students have fun while learning healthy habits from the PENUT (Physical-Education/Nutrition) Program. This program has been part of RBA for a few years. Students engage in physical activity once a week, then learn to make a healthy snack. The students made "pizza cakes", a whole grain bagel topped with traditional pizza vegetable toppings and pineapples for a hint of sweetness. Yummy! The objective of this program is for students to eat 3-5 daily servings of fruit or vegetables and engage in at least sixty-minutes of physical activity.
