Randolph Staff March with Pride at the Annual Labor Day Parade
On September 1, 2025, Randolph Career Technical Center staff proudly joined the Detroit Federation of Teachers and fellow labor unions in the Annual Labor Day Parade. The parade celebrated the labor movement—both past and present—while also marking the beginning of a new school year.
Marching down Michigan Avenue toward the historic Michigan Central Station, Randolph staff showed their school spirit alongside the broader labor community. With chants of “We are the Union, the Mighty Mighty Union,” the energy was high, and the sense of solidarity was strong.
For Randolph staff, participating in the parade was more than a tradition—it was a reminder of the vital role education and skilled trades play in strengthening the community. As the new school year begins, staff carry that same pride and commitment into their classrooms and training programs, ready to inspire the next generation of workers and leaders.
