How to Apply
Applications for the 2021-22 school year will be accepted online only at www.detroitk12.org/applicationschools. In addition to completing the online application, families may need to take additional steps, which may include an exam, interview and/or audition. Prospective families and students should review school requirements and programming before applying.
The Office of Enrollment will provide one-on-one application support starting the week of February 15. Families may visit www.detroitk12.org/applicationschools to make an appointment for a phone or video call.
Additional Application Windows
For families that miss the Early Bird deadline, the Round 1 application window will open at 12 p.m. on Monday April 5 and close at 11:59 p.m. Friday April 30. Additional application windows will be offered, though seats may be limited. Families are encouraged to apply as soon as they can.
The application window for the District's Montessori Program will open on March 15; the window for the Detroit School of Arts Pathways Program will be announced this spring. Families can sign up for updates using this interest survey.
