It was a busy day at Noble! Today we had the pleasure of welcoming our honorary guests: Detroit City Councilman, Gabe Leland; DPSCD Board Member, Misha Stallworth; and Reverand Horace Sheffield.
Detroit City Councilman, Gabe Leland, stopped by to read to our 3rd graders as part of National Reading Month. He also met with Mr. Bodary's 5th grade Leadership Team to discuss their goals for the school and community.
Misha Stallworth, DPSCD Board Member, visited Noble and was given a tour of our building, and briefed on our academic progress, and all the engaging programs and activities offered at Noble. She also had an opportunity to interact with students during her tour.
At the end of the day, Reverend Horace Sheffield talked about QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) trainings, a part of Project Rainbow's initiative to create a suicide free community. Reverend Sheffield also provided staff with a light meal, followed by an informative presentation about suicide prevention by Sonya Thompson.
We'd like to thank our Student Leadership Team and Noble Leaders for assisting our guests throughout the day! Special thanks to our honorable guests for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit the Noble family! You are appreciated!
