Selected Noble middle school students and their math teacher, Ms Vernon, had an opportunity to participate in the exciting Tech Slam event at the brand-new Henry Ford Health System Detroit Pistons Performance Center. They discovered how technology and STEM influences sports through workshops and activities centered around health, material sciences, virtual reality, and computer technology.

In participating in the various workshops and activities our students achieved a better understanding of what it's like to be a sportscaster. They also enjoyed looking at films where they had to record how many shots were made and missed by various basektball players. Tablets were used to control the direction of balls during racing activities. Students also learned what's possible in sports gaming with NBA 2K20, featuring best in class graphics & gameplay, and player control and customization. The kids really enjoyed exploring the virtual reality system where they viewed a simulated environment and interacted with 3D worlds.

This was an exciting educational experience for our kids, one that they will not forget!
