You name it, Principal Adams does it! From knowing every detail about her school, staff, students, and data to understanding the Barton community inside and out, she is truly the heartbeat of Barton Elementary-Middle School. Her daily energy and presence inspire everyone around her, both inside and outside the school walls. Arriving before 8:30 a.m. and often staying well past 5:30 p.m., Principal Adams wears countless hats—all with a big smile and unstoppable enthusiasm that motivates students, staff, and families alike.
Each morning, she kicks off the day as Barton’s “Morning Greeter Leader,” welcoming students and families with warmth and excitement to make sure every scholar starts the day safe, happy, and ready to learn. Zooming from Wing A to Wing B, she checks in on every classroom before 9:00 a.m., setting the tone for teaching and learning. Mondays are extra special with three Townhall Meetings for PK–2 srtudents, 3–5 students, and Middle School, followed by fun and lively daily morning announcements led by a group of students. Throughout the day, she conducts classroom walkthroughs, celebrating the incredible teaching and learning happening at Barton over the P.A.
Just when you think her energy might slow down—it’s lunch duty time! As the proud “Lunch Leader,” Principal Adams guides students through the cafeteria and out to recess, hands out trays, cleans tables, and cheers on Barton Bears to “stay in straight lines, one square apart!” Afternoons are just as action-packed with walkthroughs, parent meetings, IEPs, CLT and ILT meetings, Fun Friday planning, and anything else needed to help students thrive. At the end of the day, she returns to the front door to see students off, wish families a wonderful evening, and check on homework. Through it all, Principal Adams shows what it truly means to “ELEVATE TO MAKE AN IMPACT.” During National Principal’s Month 2025, the Barton community proudly celebrates Principal Rosa Glover-Adams for her passion, dedication, and love for her school.
