Bethune participates in Sickle Cell Awareness Walk
On September 13 at 9:00 a.m., students and staff from Mary McLeod Bethune Pre-K–8 proudly participated in the Sickle Cell Awareness Walk to show their support for those affected by the disease. Dressed in their school attire in support of Mr. Dortch our colleague, who was the captain of the team. Participants walked together to raise awareness and promote understanding of sickle cell anemia, a condition that affects many families in our community. The event encouraged students to learn about the importance of health, compassion, and helping others. It was a meaningful morning filled with school spirit, teamwork, and the shared goal of making a difference—one step at a time.
