MLK Student Shines at Michigan Chess Open

One of our very own MLK 11th graders recently made an impressive mark at the Michigan Chess Open, the most competitive tournament in the state. Over Labor Day weekend, the Armari won 6 out of 7 games, including victories over the top two players, securing a tie for 2nd place out of over 200 participants, including adults. This incredible achievement adds to an already impressive chess resume.
