On Wednesday, Novermber 6th Mann held our annual Family Curriculum Night and it was a blast! Family Curriculum Night was all about Mann On A Mission with a space theme as the backdrop for the night.
Parents and families were able to learn about the curriculum through PowerPoint presentations and interactive stations. Our family space explorers traveled to Mercury, Venus and Earth for presentations on the math, science and ELA curriculums. Explorers were also able to travel to interactive stations for hands-on learning. The Moon was an opportunity to learn about bouyancy, Mars was a social studies word search and Saturn was a math game. Finally Uranus and Jupiter were for exploring science and reading.
As families traveled through space they collected stamps to be entered into a raffle that was held in the gym before pizza was served for dinner. Pizza was provided by our partners at Oak Pointe Church. Families also went home with space kit goody bags to wrap up the night.
The night ended on a high note with the space kit goody bags, raffle and pizza but no night in space is complete without an astronaut! Students really enjoyed taking pictures with the guest astronaut.
