Check Out the 5 Things You Need to Know This Week!
“Are You OK” Health and Wellness Campaign: Caring for our emotional and mental health is vital to our overall well-being. To support our families, students and staff during the pandemic, the District is launching the “Are You OK?” Health and Wellness campaign. Through this new campaign, we will provide information on support resources that can help you to cope. Please visit www.detroitk12.org/areyouok.
Q3 Survey Distributed This Week: A reminder that the Q3 Surveys will be distributed for both students and teachers this week. The Q3 Survey will have questions asking your preference to choose in person or online learning, along with a few other questions to consider as we navigate through this pandemic.
Our Technology and Family Resource Hubs, Including the Mumford Location This Week, are Open for In-Person Support! Families and students can get help with online learning, device issues, mental health support and more! Please visit www.detroitk12.org/hubs for a list of services offered, locations and times.
January is Michigan School Board Appreciation Month. While we are making special efforts this month to show appreciation for our school board members, we recognize their contributions are a year-round effort. No matter what challenges lie ahead for our district in 2021, our school board members will continue to govern to improve student achievement and provide them with an exceptional education.
Assessments. The District assessment calendar has been revised to allow for more instructional time between the fall and winter windows. In addition, the Academic Approach window has also been lengthened to allow high schools more flexibility around planning administration dates for this test.
