• Be at least 18 years of age, but not older than 26 years of age prior to the start of the school year OR have completed four full years of high school on a certificate of completion track.
    • Completed ALL high school credits necessary for graduation, but have not obtained a high school diploma or GED. 

    • On track to receive a Certificate of Completion in lieu of a high school diploma or GED.

    • Have an active IEP with a qualifying eligibility of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MiCI) or similar.

    • Meet eligibility requirements for vocational rehabilitation services through Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) and maintain active enrollment with MRS.

    • Have independent personal hygiene and grooming skills.

    • Have independent daily living skills.

    • Maintain appropriate behavior and social skills in the workplace.

    • Take direction from supervisors and change behavior as needed.

    • Be able to communicate effectively.

    • Utilize public transportation and participate in travel training to ensure success in using the bus independently.

    • Understand that employment training is a requirement of this program and students will be expected to participate in all applicable internships.

    • Ability to pass drug screen, background check, immunizations up to date, and any other requirements specific to the internship site.

    • Desire and plan to work competitively in the community.
