Mrs. Kimber-Jackson began her career in education in 1999 as an English teacher at the former Northern High School in DPS. She spent 11 ½ years as a classroom teacher with DPS, Oak Park School District and Ypsilanti Community Schools. She transitioned into administration in 2012 as an assistant principal with Denby High School. She served as Principal Apprentice at Nolan during the 2013-2014 school year, and with great joy, she returned to Nolan as principal last year.

Mrs. Kimber-Jackson’s educational credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University, Master of Education from Aquinas College, and Education Specialist from Wayne State University.

“I am honored to continue to serve in the capacity of principal of Nolan. My goal is to ensure that your children walk into a safe, supportive, welcoming, and rigorous learning environment daily that provides them with many opportunities to flourish and succeed!”

When not working in education, Mrs. Kimber-Jackson most enjoys her work as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
