Mrs. Sheila Langford
Mrs. Langford is a resident of Detroit, and has been an educator with the district for 28 years. She was a teacher for 22 years, having taught at McFarlane Elementary School, Mae C. Jemison Academy, Chrysler Elementary School, and Pasteur Elementary School. Mrs. Langford was awarded the Booker T. Washington Outstanding Educator Achievement Award for Excellence in Teaching while teaching at Mae C. Jemison Academy. She received a 2018 Detroit Public Schools Foundation-Champion of Education Award. She received the 2017-2018 Detroit Public Schools Community District O.S.A.S. School-Based Administrator of The Year Award. Mrs. Langford has been an administrator for more than six years, serving at both Pasteur Elementary and Noble Elementary-Middle Schools. Mrs. Langford is a "servant leader" passionate about educating students. Her primary focus is to provide a stellar education to all students and 21st century exemplary and optimal leadership services to all stakeholders of Mark Twain School for Scholars and the Detroit Public Schools Community District.
