Mr. Christopher Lindsay
Christopher Lindsay is a compassionate and energetic educator. Born in Detroit, MI, he received his traditional education from Detroit Public Schools. He later went on to earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Detroit Mercy. He also earned his teaching certificate in secondary education.
He started teaching nearly fifteen years ago in schools in Inkster and Westland, MI. At an early stage in his career, he knew that he would dedicate his life to educating the youth of the metropolitan Detroit area. His talent as an educator earned him an assignment in school administration. He became principal of his first K-8 school at the age of 28 years old.
Mr. Lindsay is a committed school leader. Under his leadership, he has been able to turnaround and stabilize otherwise failing schools. He was able to do so at schools in Westland, Dearborn Heights, and Detroit, MI. He emphasizes systems to analyze data regularly to monitor and evaluate improvement efforts; teach and support the use of high yield instructional strategies; and create positive, needs-fulfilling learning environments.
