Mrs. Pashawn Johnson
Pashawn Johnson is a Detroit resident and proud graduate of Renaissance High School, Wayne State University (Bachelor of Arts, Secondary Education-Mathematics and Spanish, Master of Arts, Mathematics Education) and University of Detroit Mercy (Master of Arts-Educational Leadership). She began her mission over 15 years ago in Detroit Public Schools, teaching Mathematics and Spanish at Southeastern H.S and Martin Luther King Jr. Sr. High School. During her career, she gravitated to leadership becoming Lead World Language teacher, School Improvement Chair and eventually Assistant Principal of King High School small learning community.
As her mission continues, she plans to create and maintain a community through teachings of the Montessori philosophy, providing a joy for learning to critical thinkers from a concrete to abstract learning focus while developing independence through grace and courtesy.
Pashawn is now the proud Principal of Edmonson Montessori Elementary School.
