She went on to attend Wayne State University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in English and received her teaching certificate. She obtained her master’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and her administrator’s certification in 2017.

She is not only a proud product of Detroit Public Schools Community District, but also is proud to have over 20 years in the district. She started teaching at Munger Middle School in August of 1998. She has worked at several schools such as Dixon, Frederick Douglass, Bates, Bow and Greenfield Union where she worked with awesome students, colleagues and acquired several life-long friendships.

After teaching at Bates, Ms. E. Robinson became a Literacy Coach, Instructional Specialist and now Assistant Principal. Her philosophy is based on every student being able to become productive citizens in society if given the opportunity, resources and services they need to be successful.

In her spare time, she likes to bake, take pictures and participate in events with her sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. She has been a part of this organization for years and enjoys fellowshipping with other members of the Divine 9 as well. She is also an avid reader and enjoys writing poetry which has been featured in The Michigan Chronicle. Overall, Ms. E. Robinson believes in the golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated and you will reap the benefits that life has to offer.
