Degrees and Certifications:
Principal LeTanya Dandridge has been in the field of Special Education for 28 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge about providing educational services and programs to students with Cognitive Impairments and Autism. She has been the Principal at Moses Field for 10 years and looks forward to her 11th year. Principal Dandridge was educated within the Detroit Public School System attending Nichols Elementary School, Whitney Young Magnet Middle School and the former Murray-Wright High School. She is a proud graduate of Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Special Education for the Cognitively Impaired. She earned a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum, Insrtruction and Professional Development from Walden University. In 2019, Principal Dandridge solidified her expertise as an administrator by earning a Supervisory Certification from Eastern Michigan University. She is also one of 7 principals to participate in the EMU Elite Master Leaders Program between DPSCD and Eastern Michigan University which develops current principals into leadership coaches and mentors. She has a love for students with disabilities and is a strong advocate for their rights and encourages their participation within the community. Her mission is to ensure that all students experience an equitable and transformative school climate where they can achieve both academically and socially beyond personal expectations. She wants to ensure that students experience an outstanding and enjoyable school culture and climate so they are able to sustain the life of their choice and make a positive contribution to their communities.
