Pointers for Parents
- Hold children's behavior to high standards.
- Set high expectations for children's school work.
- On Sunday through Thursday nights:
- Make a quiet place for them to study.
- Turn off the TV.
- Check their homework calendars to make sure they have done their assignments.
- Show that you honor their work.
- Feed your children good meals, get them on an after-school routine and get them to bed by 8 or 9 p.m.
- Get them up at a certain time each morning, give them a routine for getting dressed, feed them breakfast, and deliver them to school on time.
- Take care of their health.
- Get their vision and hearing checked.
- Take them for their immunization shots.
- Get their teeth cleaned.
- Tend to problems such as asthma.
