Library Media Center

Mission

The Detroit School Library Media Specialists will become the coaches and consultants to staff, students and their school community on the new library technologies. A stronger spirit of cooperation will also be fostered between library media center staff, school administrators and faculty in order to carry out the mission of the instructional program. Ultimately, we endeavor to assure that schools with functioning library media centers will graduate information literate students who are prepared for the twenty first century's global society.
