Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Office of School Social Work Service to contribute to the successful education of all children by providing comprehensive social work services to empower each child to become a successful learner and productive citizen in a global society. School Social Work Service enables students to achieve maximum emotional, social and educational success within the school environment and the community at large.

School Social Workers are Licensed Mental Health Professionals who provide services related to a person’s social, emotional and life adjustment to school and/or society.

School Social Workers are an integral part of the educational team who provide DIRECT as well as INDIRECT services to students, families and school personnel to promote and support student’s academic and social success.
