Detroit Public Schools General Superintendent Connie K. Calloway, Ph.D. will mark the first day of the second year of her tenure, Wednesday, July 2, 2008, with a series of morning visits with DPS students, parents and staff at these sites:

9:00 a.m. Roberto Clemente Elementary School
1551 Beard St. (east of N. Green and north of W. Lafayette)
(Kindergarten and 4th grade summer school, adult ESL lessons, summer day camp)


10:00 a.m. Detroit School of Arts
123 Selden (between Woodward and Cass)
(Parent orientation, student radio editing, academic preparation)


10:30 a.m. Detroit Public Schools Facilities Central Maintenance Hub
1601 Farnsworth (east of Riopelle, north of Warren)
Start at Building C
(Trades people and site management operations areas)
