WHO:Rev. Samuel H. Bullock, Jr, president of the Council of Baptist Pastors of Detroit and Vicinity; William F. Coleman III, superintendent of the Detroit Public Schools; members of the Detroit Board of education; and several Baptist ministers.
WHAT:The Council of Baptist Pastors, the city’s largest and most influential group of ministers, is announcing the first of several initiatives to arrest violence in the city’s schools. The core of this initiative will be the mobilization of thousands of volunteers from its more than 250 member churches.
