The Detroit Public Schools system will host three fairs for providers of free supplemental educational services in mathematics and reading on Monday, September 12, Monday, September 26 and Thursday, October 13.
The fairs will be held at the District’s Welcome Center, which is located on the first floor of the New Center One building, 3031 W. Grand Blvd. The fairs, which are from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., are an opportunity for parents pick a vendor. Parents can talk to the companies that will provide the tutoring services and have their questions answered by DPS staff.
These tutoring services are limited to students attending schools that have not met the adequate yearly progress goals for three or more years and who receive free or reduced lunches. The tutoring service is offered on a first come, first served basis only.
