The Phoenix Will Rise

…and it will take place on Saturday, September 10th between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
During that time, volunteers from LASED (Latin Americans for Social and Economic Development) plus the GM Hispanic Initiative Team, students, teachers and the community are going to clean up and paint the Phoenix Multicultural Academy.
The day has been officially dubbed, ‘Make A Difference Day’ because the main goal is to help the school shed it’s dreary, graffiti ridden exterior and emerge with a layer of fresh, bright paint. Everyone agrees, the school will look much better and the students and residents will feel a lot better about it. Your help is needed. Volunteer for an hour or two, or if you have drop cloths, paint brushes or rollers to donate, please take them to the school. Just contact the principal, Ms. Anna Maria Rodriguez at 849-2419 or Manny Reyes at manuel.reyes@gm.com . You can make a difference too!
