DPS students who are attending schools that have not met the adequate yearly progress goals for three or more years,
and who receive free or reduced lunches are eligible for free tutoring through the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Packets of information about the Supplemental Educational Services tutoring have been sent to the homes of these students so that their parents can begin thinking about the choices they want to make. Tutoring is offered in reading and math and parents can select the company they want to provide the service. A series of Provider Selection Fairs gives parents the opportunity to talk to the companies that will provide the services and to have their questions answered by DPS staff. If you think your child qualifies and you want more information please call 873-7671.
