As if two, not one, Mustangs donated to the auto mechanics program at the Breithaupt Career/Tech center wasn’t enough
a few weeks ago, this Friday, April 22nd at about 9:00 a.m. two more 2005 models of the legendary ‘Pony’ car will be unveiled at the Golightly Career and Technical Center at 900 Dickerson. They’re gifts to learn on for the students in the Golightly auto mechanics program. All four cars were donated to these DPS schools by the Auto Alliance, Detroit Public Television, Thirteen, WNET-New York, and the Japan Automotive Manufacturers Association. The donation is in conjunction with the ‘What’s Up In Factories?’ program designed to immerse students in the intricacies of manufacturing technology and related studies. Dr. Laura R. Royster is the principal of Golightly.
