The Detroit Central High School Alumni Association invites you to attend their 2nd annual Music And Scholarship Fundraiser – A Tribute To A Man And His Music…Andrew Smith.
Smith was a member of the class of ’68 and went on to a great career in music as a drummer for the Motown Funk Brothers and was a four-time Grammy Award Winner for his work on albums for Stevie Wonder and other headliners. The fundraiser/tribute will be held on Sunday, April 3 from 5 to 11 p.m. at Club Yesterdays, 17017 W. 9 Mile Rd., located inside the Ramada Inn, just east of Southfield Rd. There’ll be a real ‘ole school’ jam session, special guest appearances by recording artists, and the amazing talents of David Myles and the Mylestones. Tickets are only $20 and that is tax deductible. Can’t think of a better way to spend Sunday evening than listening to great music and helping the students at Central.
