A Prayer For The Schools

The Cooley High School Alumni Association is holding a Day of Prayer For The Detroit Public Schools prayer breakfast.

It is a big ‘thank you’ from the community to school staff and administrators who so diligently perform their duties in our schools and to encourage them to continue their good work. The breakfast is mini-reunion of sorts. The Breakfast will be held at the Karas House Banquet Hall, 23632 Plymouth Road, a block east of Telegraph, on Saturday, March 26th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Reverend Grace Andrews-Moorman of Amazing Grace International Church of God and a former Cooley counselor and the benediction will be rendered by Pastor John ‘Skeets’ Owens of the ReNew Life Ministries Church a member of the Cooley class of ’85. The Association has adopted Giving Back To The Future as it’s rallying call and they’re working to help students understand that by taking full advantage of the opportunities in the Detroit Public Schools, that can look forward to successful careers. The Breakfast is a fundraiser and tickets are only $15.00 each. For tickets or more information call Danita Davis at 313-399-6358.
