The Fifth Annual African American Child Symposium will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 11th and 12th at Cobo.
The deadline for registration is Friday, January 14th. Based on the theme, ‘Creating A Learning Environment for Self-Determination,’ the symposium will feature special focus sessions on strategies for effectively implementing African-centered education in math, science, social studies, fine and performing arts, guidance and counseling along with parent and community involvement, and more.
