......Attorneys from the DPS Legal Department participated as presenters at the Street Law Kickoff. It was attended by nearly 200 DPS students who learned about various specialties within the field of law.



…..DPS police officer John DeLora, a member of the Michigan Mineralogical Society based at Cranbrook, is waiting to come to your school to talk to your students about the finer points of geology, fossils and careers. Call him at 575-6608.



…..Guest Middle School is now Bethune Academy so the library name has also been changed. It is now the Bethune-Guest Community Library. The staff will work for new partnerships and focus on the importance of 
reading and literacy.



…..Denby Technical and Preparatory High School honored former principal, Dr. Ellword Miller, by dedicating a new athletic field in his honor. The dedication was in recognition of Dr. Miller’s contributions to Denby’s athletic program and his academic leadership.
