Parent Technology Seminars Throughout the Month of November

In an effort to improve student achievement and performance, the Detroit Public Schools is increasing parent involvement. On Tuesday & Thursdays throughout the month of November, the District will offer Parent Technology Seminars for parents interested in learning to use computers to help their children with school assignments or for their personal use.

Technology Seminars during the month of November include Beginners through Advanced Microsoft Word, Technology in the Home, Internet & Email, Basic through Advanced Computer Skills, Microsoft Powerpoint and Mouse & Keyboarding.

Technology plays an important role in our society today, and we feel it is necessary to prepare our students and their parents to face this technology-driven world.

All seminars will be held at the Detroit Public Schools Parent Resource Center in New Center One building, 3031 W. Grand Blvd, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Parking behind the Welcome Center will be validated.

There will be giveaways. Dinner will be provided at no cost. Space is limited, so call 313-873-9974 to reserve your spot.
