You'll Lick The Dishes...and your fingers...and the napkin...

That's just how good the food tastes at the Annual Breithaupt Career/Technical Center Scholarship Tastefests. This is the 16th year of the Tastefest and this year's theme is 'A Taste Of Elegance.' It will be held on Thursday, October 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. You really need to come out and support this event that is a testament to student achievement. Experience first-hand the 'delectable dishes' prepared by the school's culinary arts students, and the 'dainty delicacies and other dishes' donated by more than 100 greater Detroit chefs who take the time to be a part of this major event. Is the food fresh? Some of it is prepared right on the spot. Along with the aromas of great foods, the evening will be filled with the sounds of great music provided by such artists as the Bamm Davis Trio, Renee King Jackson and Kenny Cox, the Mumford High School Choir, and other performances by C'est La Vie and Spoken Word plus a Greek Step Show. All this is yours for just a $25.00, tax deductible ticket and all of the proceeds fund scholarships for the students. To get more information or to buy tickets, call the school at 313-866-9550 or 866-9544. Tickets are also available at the door. Bring a friend!
