A Moving Experience

The house that A. Philip Randolph Technical and Vocational Center Tech students built this past school year is a happy little house. The 300 students who worked on it did a very good job and from the ground up, finished each construction task with pride and a little bit of love. But, now it’s time for the house to move on. And that’s just what it’s going to do. Don’t miss it when at about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1st, with LOTS of assistance from a professional house mover, the happy little house will be placed on a trailer and moved five miles, from the school grounds at the corner of Hubbell and Six Mile to it’s new foundation…its new home…on Plainview just north of Schoolcraft. There the happy little house will patiently wait until just the right low or moderate income family comes along, sees it, feels the ‘happy,’ buys it and moves in. That will be the perfect ending to this moving experience.
