Genesis Students Got Game…Tennis Game That Is

With the completion of the school year, Genesis Elementary/Middle School students also completed their first venture into the world of tennis through the ‘In School Tennis’ program through the United States Tennis Association.

Theirs is the first program set up between the USTA and a DPS school. A certified tennis instructor came to the school two days a week to give the students lessons. All of the equipment was supplied by the USTA.

The program was a big success with the students and dozens signed up for lessons. Tennis at Genesis was the brain-child of Ron Stoffer of the physical education department at Genesis.
