Hmong Cultural Fest Lights Up Osborn Community
The Osborn Community, along with residents from the Metro Detroit area can experience a close-up encounter with the Hmong culture during a special event to be held at Fleming Elementary School on September 30.

- The Citywide Baby Shower recently held at the Catherine Ferguson Academy, attracted many teen mothers, their friends and family to the school to find out how it can help the young mothers get back on the education highway. It was a productive day that also provided those in attendance with an enjoyabale afternoon.

- The Skillman Foundation has been a steady supporter of the educational programs for students in the Detroit Public Schools. This year, 82 Detroit Public schools shared over $2 million in Skillman Grants. It made a difference because the money was used to help the students achieve. For more details, please click here.
- The Southeastern High School of Technology community and it's parnters in education, the Chrysler Mack Engine plants and Jefferson North Assembly, invite you to attend the first, SEHS Community Scholarship Dinner. It will be held on Friday, July 25 at the Wayne County Community College District-Eastern Campus at 5901 Conners, from 7 to 9 p.m. The event is a grand celebration of the accomplishments of our graduating students who plan to continue with college-level studies in Engineering or the Sciences. Each will receive a scholarship check for $1,000. The funds were provided by the Chrysler Foundation.
