Good FortuneThe American Celebration of Music in China will feature the Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School Symphonic and Marching Bands. The students are scheduled to play in the People’s Republic of China’s capital and famed imperial city, Beijing. The bands were chosen to represent the State of Michigan at the festival because of recommendations from state music officials, past achievements and current superior ratings. While the students are in China they will experience the culture of the land through sightseeing, activities, meetings and greeting their enthusiastic Chinese audiences and hosts. All of this will take place in early July…..IF….IF….Good Fortune rules and the bands can collect enough donations to help pay for the trip. More information
