  • Five of the best 19,000 public high schools in America are Detroit Public Schools, according to U.S. News & World Report. Renaissance High School received a Silver rating and Cass Tech, Communication Media Arts, Davis Aerospace and the Detroit School of the Arts received Bronze ratings.
  • Students at Detroit High School of Technology at Pershing High School have a 97% graduation rate. Also 55 of 59 “D-Tech” graduating seniors will be attending two or four-year colleges or universities;  Its 2008 graduating class earned $1.3 million in scholarships.
  • At Davis Aerospace High School students can obtain their pilot’s license as soon as they’re old enough to earn their driver’s license.
