The accomplished Dr. Carla D. Scott, President of the Detroit Board of Education, represents Detroit Public Schools District 1 with the highest integrity. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Golden Life Member, Peace Corps volunteer, Tots and Teens participant and member of the Plymouth Congregational Church of Christ are among the many community organizations in which Dr. Scott is active. Board President Scott strives continuously to be an advocate for children, instilling the desire in them to stand up for what is right. Dr. Scott strives for the enhancement of intellect, integrity and sound judgment in Detroit’s children.
