Mission

The mission of the Office of the Deputy Chief Academic Officer and Executive Directors for Schools is to provide leadership and support to school administrators for the overall management and operations that will result in high performing schools.

Goals

1. Ensure the implementation and supervision of the District’s core curriculum by school administration.
2. Develop strong administrators as evidenced by successful visionary leadership, intelligent accountability and exceptional organizational performance.
3. Ensure a positive student centered school environment which engages parents and the community at large.
4. Serve as a conduit for all policies and procedures from all Detroit Public School departments and divisions.
