The purpose of the East and Westside Dispatch Units is to provide guidelines for the day to day operations within Student Transportation ensuring safe, efficient and timely transportation services to eligible students in an effort to meet the overall objective of the DPS mission. The internal efficiency of the various transportation elements, producing timely transportation services in sync with each other, is key to all organizational goals and objectives.
Emergency situations requiring transportation services are pre-approved through the Office of the CEO and when received, are addressed immediately in order for buses to be dispatched accordingly. These requests are directed through the director of transportation to the Customer Service Manager who ensures a proper response time and correct measures are taken to transport students to a predetermined safe location until further notice.
Hours of Operation: 5:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
