The Field Trip Department is responsible for providing scheduling services for all trips. This scheduling function includes field trips, athletic trips, band trips, etc. and utilizes the transportation services of private contractors as well as DPS transportation. These trips must be scheduled through the Office of Student Transportation – Trips. All requestors must use the Field Trip Bus Transportation Request form (#7365). Trip requests must be submitted four week in advance of the trip to allow sufficient time to schedule with the appropriate transportation provider. If paying by check or money order, it must be hand delivered to the West Side Bus Terminal’s Field Trip Office, payable to Detroit Public Schools. If paying for service by account transfer, please by sure of correct account numbers along with signature on the form provided or trip may be subject to cancellation for non-payment.
