Staffing Summary

688 DPS Custodians - 65 DPS Building Repair Employees - Including supervisors and skilled trade workers (carpenters, electricians, glazers, locksmiths, painters and plumbers) 351 Engineers - Consisting of facility managers, building engineers, boiler operators and apprentices.

Key Statistics

• 100% of Priority 1 work orders were completed in SY '05/'06.
• 100% of all Zone Building and Zone Custodial Supervisors are utilizing their PDA's.
• Maintained average number of functional restroom stalls with doors at 95%, 2% over the District's goal.
• Achieved a District average appearance and cleanliness of 81%, 1% above the District's goal.
• Staff received a total of 23,264 hours of classroom and in-field training in SY '05/'06, a 34% increase in training compared to SY '04/'05.
• 100% of schools were ranked "good" to "excellent" throughout the District in the areas of appearance and cleanliness in SY '05/'06 and '03/'04.
• 100% of security lighting repairs were repaired within 90 work days of receipt of work orders.
• All Office of Civil Rights Violation Projects were completed in SY '05/'06.
