RESOURCE CLEARINGHOUSE

The Detroit Centers provide resources to teachers, parents, and the community. Mini-grants are provided to teachers to assist in implementing learned strategies. Databases are maintained which include Centers' programs and best practices. Utilization of the Resource Clearinghouse is increasing each year. It consists of two areas: The Mathematics, Science and Technology Center and the Materials Resource Center. Housed in another location is the Kellogg Science Resource Center. Teachers are able to obtain kits related to units in science or manipulatives in mathematics. Additional equipment was housed so that materials can be borrowed upon request.
